Online - for the first time ever
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) will host the 2023 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society in East and Southeast Asia, which the Asian Regional Standing Committee designated as the main meeting of the Econometric Society in the region in 2023. The conference program will consist of keynote lectures, plenary talks, contributed paper sessions and special panel discussions.

Rosa Liliana Matzkin is the Charles E. Davidson Distinguished Professor of Economics. Her research has been aimed at creating a tight connection between econometrics and economic theory, avoiding specifications and transformations not implied by economic models.
Joshua David Angrist is the Ford Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Angrist, together with Guido Imbens, was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 2021 "for their methodological contributions to the analysis of causal relationships".
Matthew Owen Jackson is the William D. Eberle Professor of Economics at Stanford University, an external faculty member of the Santa Fe Institute, and a fellow of CIFAR. Jackson's research concerns game theory, microeconomic theory, and the study of social and economic networks.
John Michael Van Reenen OBE is the Ronald Coase School Professor at the London School of Economics and the Gordon Y. Billiard Professor of Management and Economics at MIT, where he is jointly appointed in the Department of Economics and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Rachel Griffith is Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester and Research Director of the IFS. She won the Birgit Grodal award in 2014, was awarded a CBE in 2015 and was made a Dame Commander of the British Empire for services to economic policy and education in 2021.
